Over the past few weeks, I've been chipping away at the new EdenWeb site. If you're reading this then it's finally live.
One of the hardest things you can do as a professional Web Designer is to design something for yourself that you feel represents you and your design philosophy. The luxury of a moveable deadline and the temptation to keep tweaking the design are very real barriers to 'getting to live'. So adopting the 'publish and perfect' approach, I've cut the ribbon and published it now. The intention is to refine it gradually over the coming weeks.
Although I don't consider the site 'finished', it's already a more accurate reflection on the work we do and the people we design for. In particular, we have a much more expansive gallery of our design work and have more information on our design services too. In the background, there's a new CMS (Content Management System) which will make updates easier and in the front-end, there's a few social media hooks which I'm looking forward to using more.
